About
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem.
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Welcome. I’m Delia.
If you've found your way here, perhaps you, like me, have ever felt a longing to understand the quiet depths of your own soul, that inner world of the self (nafs), the heart (qalb), the mind ('aql), and the spirit (ruh). This is a space for that gentle exploration. A place for the weary seeker and the curious heart.
My own journey began with a deep, personal yearning to understand the nafs. By Allah's mercy, that very longing became my guide, leading me to explore Islamic Psychology through personal study and reflection, a path that continues to feel like coming home rather than a destination reached.
This exploration has revealed our deen not as a historical artifact, but as a living, breathing map of the soul, outlined in the Qur'an and Sunnah. One of the most beautiful discoveries? Seeing how the emerging language of modern neuroscience often whispers SubhanAllah in confirmation of the timeless truths our tradition has always held.
With revelation as our compass, I'm fascinated by how science reveals the breathtaking intricacies of Allah's design, the beautiful how behind the divine why.
What you'll find here
This space explores Islamic psychology and its beautiful intersections with daily life, spiritual growth, and understanding ourselves through the lens of our faith. Together, we'll reflect on practical tools for tarbiyah, for nurturing our souls. Insights to cultivate compassion that softens us, resilience that steadies us, and that profound, genuine peace (sakina) that comes only from Him.
Whether we're exploring the different states of the nafs, reflecting on Quranic verses that speak to the human condition, or sharing beneficial resources discovered along the way, this is a space for learning together—not for teaching, but for walking this path side by side.
A fellow traveler
I am not a shaykh, scholar, or professional in this field, simply a sister walking this path right beside you, sharing what I'm learning along the way. My deepest du'a is that something within these reflections makes you feel a little less alone, offers a moment of gentle clarity, or simply helps you take one easier breath on your own journey back to Allah.
This is my humble offering, a collection of lessons from my own ongoing journey as a student. If you're drawn to exploring how our beautiful deen guides us toward understanding ourselves and growing closer to Allah, I'm truly so glad you're here.
